Join us for a fun day of learning and growing!
Tentative Schedule
9:00 - 9:30 Ice Breaker and Flatland Farm
9:30 - 10:15 Basic nutrition, feed analysis, cost of feed, mineral (Grass fed operation)
10:15 - 11:00 Hay Testing, testing grasses for sugars and Brix Meter demonstration
11:00 - 11:45 Non-traditional Ag careers
11:45 - 1:00 LUNCH (Please let us know asap if you have any special dietary needs)
1:00 - 2:00 Showmanship clinic
2:00 - 2:30 Farm equipment safety
2:30 - 3:00 Break/Snack
3:00 - 3:30 Equipment matching game
3:30 - 4:30 Market steer and heifer evaluation
Our time will conclude at 4:30.
If you have yard games you enjoy, feel free to bring them for our break times
Parents are encouraged to stay and learn along with your juniors!
Camping spots are available at Flatland Farm for overnight visitors.
