cattle for sale:
Circumstances have changed on the farm, and we have decided to exit the cattle industry. We have a variety of cattle available, from older cows to bull calves, all of which are either registered or could be registered.
I currently have three registered cows from Honey Creek Highlands. The cattle include genetics from Marsh Creek and Gray Owl genetics. All are in the pasture with my bull, Swalander’s Rainier (Reg. No. 65334) - Honey Creek’s Daisy May (reg. no. 54525), a full-sized impact dam who has thrown very nice heifers for me. Daisy Mae is open for 2023, but is in the pasture with my bull. - Honey Creek’s Effie Mae (reg. no. 58402), a structurally correct cow with a very gentle demeanor. Effie Mae is confirmed bred to Swalander’s Rainier. - Honey Creek’s Jolene (reg. no. 59567), a smaller framed first-calf heifer that would make a great addition to any fold. Jolene is open for 2023, but is in the pasture with my bull. In addition to the females, I’m also selling my new herd bull, Swalander’s Rainer (reg. no. 65334), a future herd sire with a lot of promise ahead of him. I also have four yearling steers available to be finished for next year’s freezer beef, and two 2023 bull calves that could be registered or steered Cardinal Creek Farm Josh Nelson Jknelson82@gmail.com |

After much consideration, we have decided to offer Beyond Hope Sayge 65,859 (LEA Kaid x Beyond Hope Skye) for sale. Sayge is a moderately framed, feminine, stocky and structurally correct heifer born 12/22/23. Her pedigree boasts many reputable breeders including LEA Farms, Almosta Farm, Sunset Farm and Spring Flight Farm.
Sayge has been shown extensively since she was 6 months old with great success! She has gone undefeated in her senior heifer calf division, and just recently won Grand Champion Female in NCHCA Junior Show. She is the second calf out of Beyond Hope Skye, a moderately framed cow with a beautiful udder, excellent feet and legs, volume and capacity. In her show days, Skye won numerous awards including 2x back to back Reserve Grand Champion Female at the NCHCA fall show. Skye also boasts a pedigree that shows excellent udder quality, longevity, and calving ease. Sayge’s sire, LEA Kaid is one of our all time favorite bulls. A son of the legendary Sunset Rebel Yell, Kaid’s length of body, volume, style and muscling combined with his unique pedigree are just a few things to admire about this phenomenal bull. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own a heifer that can hang some banners and be a stand out brood cow! |

I have six highlander cattle born from 2015 to 2019 - 5 crossbred calves by side, three young hereford crossbred heifers of which one has a calf and the other two don't. There's also one year and a half highland heifer and steer. The calves by side are angus/simmental crosses and are very nice looking calves. The cattle are pretty tame, they calve every year and have no health issues. They are all bred to a black highland bull with good bloodlines. These are nice cattle and not registered only because I didn't do the paperwork.

For us … Epic has been beyond outstanding. - He’s been a tested & proven primary breeding bull and a well tested & proven top of the line AI Bull. – Epic has simply been a super bull. - An ultimate Heritage Highland Bull in looks, personality, breeding and the amazing quality of his calves. Overall Epic has been such a successful breeder that too often we have to keep him sequestered from his number of offspring and certain dams on our ranch scheduled to be AI’D by others which keeps him deprived of his family, his fold, his potential & breeding. As much as it breaks my heart, for Epic's sake & for the benefit of the Highland breed, Epic should have a new fold. Epic is young, strong, athletic & virile. He just turned 6, has lots of fans & a great following. He is extremely gentle and kind with us, the fold and with our visitors & guests. People have driven hundreds of miles and flown from across the country & Canada to come visit, see & interact with Epic and his offspring.
Lastly, I bring up the following because most that are newer to Highland breeding & the industry generally do not realize that in addition to genetics and proper nutrition how important low stress is to the success of one's foundational breeding fold. Epic is extremely gentle and kind with us, our fold and with our visitors & guests. As mentioned, Epic has lots of fans and a great following. People have driven hundreds of miles plus and have literally flown more than a thousand miles from across the country & Canada to come visit, see & interact with Epic and his offspring. The reason that's important is because Epic has met & interacted with literally thousands of people of all ages. Children and adults from less than a year old to 97 years old have combed, brushed, fed, leaned on him & laid on him. He’s been super gentle & very considerate toward his fold as well as toward all that have come to see him. – Also important to us & any high end genetic considering breeder … In conformation to the Heritage Highland standards, Epic has flowing hair, a superb dossan and he’s proportionate from front to back. He's muscular and his top line is straight & superb as it should be for a top of the line Highland. There’s no U spined swayback in this Highland Bull. Epic is a descendant of Champions. He’s Heritage. He carries himself across fields & pastures with grace, elegance, pride and all the youthful athletic majesty that makes him so wonderful & at times even amazing to see. As a result Epic was just chosen to breed another dozen plus by either AI or live cover. We and breed conscious breeder customers could have chosen from any number of Champions and Grand Championship lines from our inventory of dozens of championship lines to up-class their breeding. However, It was Epic that was chosen. Not just for his renown and being one of the best known foreign born examples of a Heritage Highland Champion line Bull living in the US today, but because most of the heifers are to become the foundation or foundational for a new herd. As top line breeders know well, top of the line genetics, low stress and an excellent temperament are foundational to and can be absolutely critical to the successful building of a solidly based, healthy Highland herd. - Epic’s classic looks, low stress temperament and the amazing quality of his offspring is why so many have driven or flown more than a thousand miles to see him & his fold. Why professional photographers travel and pay to photograph him and his offspring. Regarding additional data, Epic is sufficiently known with plenty of photos, comments, videos and information that has been written about him that only requests with offers that include information regarding the facilities that are being offered for him will be considered. This majestic specimen of the Highland breed deserves to be appreciated, respected, cared for and treasured as he has been by us and so many of his fans & followers. - Interested? sold!Midway Meadows Will #64,695 is a thick and beefy future herd sire. Nick-named “Iron” Will on the farm because of his muscular growth and stoic behavior, these characteristics are coupled with a calm and curious demeanor. But his number one trait, above all, is his remarkable docility. Videos on halter are taken just 30 minutes after commencing training.
Iron Will’s sire, Flatheads Tamdhu, is a Highland Spice 2019 NWSS Reserve Champion with very limited registered prodigy. Midway Meadows is the first and only farm that registered Tamdhu’s prodigy; only three sons will ever be registered. All females will be kept on the farm. Sire Tamdhu was purchased from Highland Spice and spent his early years in their western beef cross breeding program due to his remarkable beef breeding characteristics and vitality. Iron Will exhibits the remarkable vitality of his father. He was an easy calf, average size, but tipped the scales at 542 lbs. At 8.5 months! Iron Will’s dam, Indeed Sweet Aggie, enjoys the best North Central genetics from Creachann Gleann and Schon Boden lineages. Dam Aggie is our oldest and most productive cow. Our effort to meld the best western genetics with the best north central genetics have created this young bull. Want something unique that no one else will ever have? Iron Will is your future. Flatheads Tamdhu was suddenly lost to hardware disease; Iron Will is one of only three registered bulls to carry forth his legacy. We price him fairly @ $3,500. We’re offering two of our AHCA registered cows for sale
SHP Stacy #54,850 and SHP Serenity #55,199 After long discussions we have decided to sell these lovely ladies. We‘re working on focusing and expanding our beef operation (finishing steers) and honestly would like to study and watch bloodlines for a bit before we start up our breeding program. Stacy and serenity are both nice cows, they are gentle and both great mothers. They’re our favorites but we can’t justify keeping them here. They sell as open, they have been exposed to a registered bull but we have not preg checked them. They are up to date on dewormer as well. With having small children and not huge amounts of land, we’d like to have cows we can halter and show and work with- these ladies are excellent but they are not halter broke. Both have great feet and udders. They’d make an excellent addition to your breeding program Nordic Pines Farm Steve & Jessica Lipke nordicpineswi@gmail.com |
